Although I’ve owned this game since release, the anticlimax that was the first Watch Dogs led to me putting off playing it time and time again…and then E3 2019 with the trailer for Watch Dogs Legion happened, and I just had to come and give it a go.
And here we are, much sooner than I ever anticipated considering this is an open-world game, but I reach the end of the story, having not allowed myself to get as distracted as I usually would be unimportant things. In this final Watch Dogs 2 stream I take my fight direct to the Blume Corporation, making my way in in an attempt to take down ctOS and expose Dušan Nemec’s crimes to the world. Do I succeed in my goals?
Until next time…buh-bye!
About Watch Dogs 2
Watch Dogs 2 is a 2016 open world action-adventure game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, developed and published by Ubisoft. In this sequel to 2014’s Watch Dogs, the action is moved from Chicago to the San Francisco Bay Area with a new protagonist – Marcus Holloway – fighting against the rise of the central Operating System 2.0 (or ctOS 2.0) and the company behind it – the Blume Corporation. ctOS is an operating system that controls almost all aspects of a city’s infrastructure, including CCTV systems, banking software, public transport, and even cellphone networks.
The game is played primarily in third person (with first person options when using remote control gadgets or hacking cameras), and consists of Marcus trying to take down ctOS 2.0 and Blume, through a series of missions designed to target prominent aspects being controlled by the system. The game can be played in several different ways, with options for stealth and distraction, or more traditional outright action.
