In an attempt to reduce try and reduce the length of this video to less than 6 hours so that I could use the YouTube video editor if I ever needed to, I trimmed out the breaks before upload…but that still didn’t work, but oh well!
Hey there everyone and welcome to the second part of my Kingdom Hearts Final Mix playthrough where I set out with Sora on his journey to become a master of the Keyblade. This isn’t strictly my first time playing this game, having played the original game on PlayStation 2, but this is my first time properly playing the Final Mix version of the game (on the PlayStation 4 re-release of the game), which includes new abilities, scenes, enemies, and more.
In this second stream I set back out from Traverse Town (where I had stopped off after Wonderland in part 1), I return to Deep Jungle to actually do the story there with Tarzan, Jane, and Clayton, I also head back to Olympus Coloseum where I finish off Cerberus and also get the chance to take on my first tournament, and I finish off with what in my world classifies as a speed run of Agrabah, fighting the evil Jafar to protect the world’s Keyhole. I also finally catch up with Riku, but things don’t quite go the way Sora might hope they would…
Until next time…buh-bye!
About Kingdom Hearts/Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
Kingdom Hearts is a Japanese Action-RPG video game developed by Square Enix (when it was still known as Squaresoft) in conjunction with Disney and originally released on PlayStation 2 in 2002. The game was later re-released exclusively in Japan several months later with enhancements as Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, which was eventually released world-wide as part of the PlayStation 3 collection Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX (with some other releases down the road afterwards).
In Kingdom Hearts you play as Sora as he searches for his friends Riku and Kairi after his world is swallowed up by the darkness. He gains the power to use the Keyblade, a weapon used to fight said darkness, and discovers that there are many other worlds out there. He is accompanied by Disney’s very own Goofy and Donald as he travels to these worlds, based on properties from Disney’s pantheon, including Alice in Wonderland, Hercules, and Aladdin. The game is played in the third person and uses staples from both action games and RPGs, with elements of platforming, shooters, and an emphasis on exploration.
