Hey there everyone, and welcome to the first part of my Resident Evil 3 Remake playthrough. This is a game I’ve been cautiously looking forward to, as the original Resident Evil Nemesis was my least favourite of the Resident Evil trilogy on Sony’s first PlayStation console, but the Resident Evil 2 Remake was so good that I am massively looking forward to playing this game.
In this first stream, I get to grips with our protagonist, Jill Valentine, and head out into the scary city of Raccoon City, under siege from zombies, and chased by the imposing Nemesis and his cries of STARS. STAAAAAAARS. I waste much ammo, I die a few times, but overall I have fun. Also Carlos has an incredibly 80s hairstyle, and Jill in this game just makes me think of Natalie Portman.
Until next time…buh-bye!
About Resident Evil 3 (2020)
Resident Evil 3 is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It is a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, originally released on the PlayStation in 1999, and follows Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira as they attempt to survive a zombie apocalypse while being hunted by the intelligent bioweapon Nemesis. It was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 3, 2020. It also released alongside an online multiplayer game, Resident Evil: Resistance.
Set within the streets of the fictional Raccoon City, which we explored more briefly in Resident Evil 2, players are tasked with facing a horde of zombies and other creatures made as bio-weapons, but also have to face off and escape the (semi-titular, since his name is dropped in the remake) Nemesis, an augmented creature with a penchant for wanting to kill anyone associated with Raccoon Police Department’s Special Tactics And Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S), of which Jill was a prominent member.
