The final hour of this stream has some severe frame rate drops, so…yeah. Also, this video will feature several random cuts and audio cuts because it turns out the game features an absolute crap-ton of very copyrighted audio that I’ve had to remove in different ways. I wasn’t aware of this until after Part 2, so I’ll try and see if there’s a way to make up for this in future streams.
Hey there everyone, and welcome to my first time playing Sackboy: A Big Adventure! This is my first PlayStation 5 game (other than Astro’s Playroom), and as a fan of the LittleBigPlanet games I just had to get my hands on the adorable Sackboy. I get to grips with our adorable knitted protagonist, I meet the villain Vex (played gloriously by Richard E. Grant), who kidnaps the people of Loom, after which I set off under the guidance of Dawn French (I mean Scarlet, but DAWN FRENCH) to rescue them. I explore the first story hub, and make my way into the second one, but unfortunately the game experiences some serious frame rate issues so I end up finishing earlier than anticipated. Spoiler warning, I have a similar issue in my second stream of the game, so let’s see if the same happens third time around…
Also am I the only one who thinks this game should have been called Sackboy: A LittleBig Adventure?

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a 2020 platform game developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 5. A spinoff of the LittleBigPlanet series, it follows Sackboy, and features 3D platforming as opposed to 2.5D in previous entries. It was announced at the PlayStation 5 reveal event, which was live-streamed across the internet on June 11, 2020. It was announced to also release on the PlayStation 4 in a blog post on September 16, 2020, with it being released on November 12, 2020 in North America and Oceania, and November 19, 2020 worldwide.
In Sackboy: A Big Adventure, the dastardly Vex (a near-mythical being born of chaos and fear, no less) kidnaps Sackboy’s friends and forces them to build his Topsy Turver. This most deadly diabolical device will transform Craftworld from a fantastical land of pure imagination and innocent dreams… into a torrid, barren eyesore of nightmares. Ooh the fiend! But legend tells of a prophecy from deep within the ancient order of the Knitted Knights, Craftworld’s legendary protectors. For only the brave, fearless, chivalrous and, yes, gallant can save the day in an almost too dramatic for words race against time stuffed with danger and peril. So much peril.
