Hey there everyone, and welcome to the sixth part of my Horizon Zero Dawn playthrough! This is a game I’ve been dubious about playing for a long time because I have well documented issues with both open world games as a concept, and more western developed RPGs which tend to focus more on world building versus the more direct story focus I tend to enjoy (and ironically tend to be in larger open worlds).
But I was long intrigued by the game, and as a sequel was coming along I decided I’d give it a go, so join me as I take on the role of Aloy as she goes on a journey of discovery in a world overrun by machines taking on the appearance of animals. What is this world, why are the machines so complex when the inhabitants are much more tribal, and do I end up enjoying this game despite it having all the hallmarks of one I wouldn’t like?
Until next time…buh-bye!
