Life is Strange 2 is an episodic narrative adventure game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC & Mac systems, with Episode 1 releasing in 2018. It is a sequel of sorts to the 2015 game Life is Strange (and it’s direct prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm), though not in the traditional sense – Life is Strange 2 is set in the same world as it’s predecessor, and has some references to it, but with a new cast of characters and location. Throughout the game players can make choices which will affect the eventual tone and resolution of the story.
Life is Strange 2 tells the story of brothers Sean and Daniel Diaz going on the run after an incident in which their father is shot by a police officer, resulting in Daniel manifesting telekinetic powers that destroy much of their block. The game follows their journey in the following months as they try to make their way to Puerto Lobos, Mexico, their father’s home town.
