Final Fantasy IX is a Japanese RPG developed and published by Squaresoft (now Square Enix) originally for the PlayStation in 2000. For this stream we are playing the 2017 PlayStation 4 remaster. In this game, players primarily control Zidane as he navigates through the high fantasy world of Gaia, interacting with non-player characters and fighting enemies in semi-turn-based battle sequences.
The story starts in the city of Alexandria on the Mist Continent of Gaia, where events take Zidane and his newly met friends on a journey to wrestle for control of the world’s future with a sinister evil. The game is a tale of identity, the bonds of friendship and family, and what it means to have a place to call home…all told on a backdrop of increidbly colourful and varied characters.
