Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a third person action adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment and released by Electronic Arts in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Players take control of Cal Kestis, a former Jedi Padawan who survived the Jedi Purge that was established in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. After using his Force powers to save his friend Prauf at the start of the game, Cal is discovered by the Empire and escapes thanks to the involvement of former Jedi Cere Junda and pilot Greez Dritus. He agrees to help Cere to try and rebuild the Jedi Order using a series of clues from her former Jedi Master through the droid BD-1.
Players will explore planets from the Star Wars galaxy, and confront enemies (mostly the Empire), who they will have to take on using a combination of lightsaber fighting, acrobatics, and some Force powers. The game encourages exploration of the planets, and entices people to return to them by having areas of each world blocked off by the need to use skills learned in the game, giving the game a Metroidvania element.
