Final Fantasy VII Remake is a 2020 game by Square Enix released initially as a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4 and is a remake of the original game released in 1997. The game is a third person action RPG in which players take control of Cloud Strife – an ex member of Shinra’s elite army Soldier – now working as a mercenary for hire who is helping eco-terrorist group Avalanche to take down Shinra’s planet killing Mako reactors. As the first part of a series of games remaking the original, this title is set entirely in the Shinra-run city of Midgar, where Cloud will be able to explore, take on missions, battle enemies, and get to know himself once again by working alongside his childhood friend, Tifa.
